Thermocouple Extension and Compensating Cables

This thermocouple extension and compensating cables are manufactured in accordance with GB/T 4989-94 standard, which means that they also conform to IEC 584-3 standard. They are used to extend the cold end of thermocouple to connect with thermal detector, forming a temperature detection system, and our products are resistant to acid, alkali, aging, corrosion, low temperature, high temperature, etc. Meanwhile, they can work in water or oil for a long time, and the working temperature range is -40℃ ~ +250℃.

Working Conditions
1. Working temperature: 250℃ for heat-resistant type, and 70℃/105℃ for common type.
2. Min. ambient temperature for working: -40℃ for fixed laying, and -15℃ for non-fixed laying.
3. Min. ambient temperature when laying: 0℃
4. Min. bending radius: 12 times of cable outer diameter for copper tape wrapping shielded type, and 6 times of outer diameter for other types.

Here are two examples to further illustrate the table above.
Example 1: If the product is precise extension cable connecting to K thermocouple, and adopts multi-strand twisted conductor, tinned copper wire braid shielding as well as PVC insulation and sheath whose maximum working temperature is 105℃, and the nominal cross section is 1.5mm2, it is expressed as KX-GS(105)-VVRP 2×1.5.

Example 2: For precise extension cable, if it is heat resistant type, connects to thermocouple whose reference table is K type, uses 10-wire, FEP insulation and sheath, multi-strand twisted conductor with cross section of 1.5mm2 for each, tinned copper wire braid pair shielded and collectively shielded, then this product is named as KX-HsF46PF46RP 10×2×1.5.
